Nice work ! i never understood why in the United States using the SuzukiFrames never really caught on ? you can buy older running Samarais fairly inexpensively then you get the four wheel drive and decent engine to go under whatever you want it to IMO the little Jeeps are very reliable and easy to work on mechanically ?

Well Paddy, you appear to be in the minority regarding the gearbox. Have you considered reading the bleep Operators Manual, or calling your local MF dealer ? Perhaps a look on You Tube might make things a bit clearer. Seems to me the problem is in the cab, not the gearbox.

They considered putting this engine in the big Healies but it wasn't 100% suitable, as is, and would have needed tuning to bring it to E-type standards.....so was dropped. But, three 4 litre Healies were made with this engine and Donald Healey described it as a wonderful combination.

given how cheap and semingly easy to do this is I'm wondering why I didn't do it sooner. i thought it might have been a blockage in my system somewhere then I thought it might have been the water pump, but the more I read up its likely this, which is good as this is about half the price of a waterpump repair, banging

First things used too come of these old skool tractors back in the days in the summer was the doors and I remember it had a split sunroof you could open half of the roof.. plastic glass white tarpoling definitely wasn't the warmest tractors come the winter and the single wiper was a nightmare. How do I know all this..I worked for a farmer who had nothing but massy's ranging from a 135..165..168..188 240.and a pair of 390's..my favourite was the he 188 believe it or not..with the waighed wheels tarpoling cab first of the power steering and it had it's grunt from that Perkins many a time the 188 pulled them 390's and the 168 out of trouble with loaded trailers ploughs and rotavators stuck in wet Fields and the odd trenches..yep the 188 was definitely a great work horse and I really enjoyed driving it.👌🚜✌️👍🤩 great video and thanks for the memories..hope it's still pulling bails of hay for you and doing good farm work..try replace it's left headlight..and stick her doors back on..🙂👌🚜👍🤩make another video then please 👍🚜👌

please answer this for me. The engine from, can this be found in the sciento.? or is the engine completely different. Or did fiat use the Cinq engine in the sciento before or after any changes to each year of car. I just came across a sciento with a cinq engine in it.

I have never heard of a 35K here in Australia but we had a 35 identical to this, difflock, 2 stage clutch and factory fitted headlights (high and low beam) and worklight, live hydralics. It was Serial Number SHMY304255, built late '62 or early '63, soon after the introduction of the 35X diesel. In fact, the same as a 35X but with the petrol motor. The best knowledge I have is that it is a 35 Deluxe but I think this refers only to the fact it has the cushioned seat and the aforementioned lights. I believe the early 35s that could run on VO, or Kerosine as we call it in Australia, were 6.0:1 compression and identified by "G" for Gas as the second letter in the serial number and the petrol only 35s are 6.6:1 compression and identified by "H" for high altitude as the second letter in the serial number. Although my research into this is limited, it seems the engines changed from "G" to "H" at the end of the Gold Bellies ot the very early Red and Grey MFs. Hard to be sure as here in Australia dealers painted new Gold Bellies in stock to red and grey but they retained the "Ferguson" badge rather than the "MF" trangular badge. Also with age the grey paint has worn thin and exposed the gold underneath.
